Report: 56 killed in Syria ahead of monitors’ arrival

At least 56 people were killed across Syria on Monday, mostly in clashes between President Bashar Assad’s opponents and the regime’s forces in Homs, Al-Jazeera reported.

A monitoring delegation sent by the Arab League is to launch its mission to restore order in Syria on Tuesday, as per an agreement signed between Assad’s regime and the League.
