Save the Children CEO: Syria deaths are ‘horrifying’

Save the Children chief executive Justin Forsyth said: “The deaths in Houla of so many innocent children is horrifying and totally unacceptable.

“This indiscriminate killing must stop now. The world cannot sit back and allow this to happen. Children are suffering terribly in this conflict.

“We need open and unfettered humanitarian access to Syria to reach the many thousands of children who are terrified and in need of help and urgent medical care. We urge all sides to observe the ceasefire to prevent this senseless slaughter.”
